4th of July and the addition

We had a very low key/boring fourth of July day.  Jason and I did yard work and the kids milled around the house and the yard (not very patiently) waiting for it to be time to go up to Grandpa and Grandma Reasch's.  My parents are kind enough to supply enough fireworks for everyone to have fun plus some, and it is one of the highlights of my kids' summer. This year it was rainy and muggy, but the kids had fun nonetheless. I have smoke bomb smelling clothes to prove it. (it takes about 10 washes for the smell to get out)

 Jacob is super sensitive to loud noises. Even though he loves lighting and watching fireworks, he would always end up in the house or in he car with his ears plugged . My mom and Bethany picked him up some shooting muffs when they were in Billings, and this was the first year that he stayed outside for the whole time. Plus they make his face look extra kissable...something about those giant things on his ears makes his face seem little and sweet!

These next pictures were taken a week ago.  While my parents were gone taking Melissa and her family to the airport, my sisters stopped out for a visit. We hung out in the addition and gave them a tour of the things that had been done since they were out last.

This week even more has been done...the fireplace is framed, the siding is finished, and the wiring is pretty much done. All that's left is insulation, drywall, texture, paint, fireplace, flooring and final touches.  I'm guessing we'll be in in about 4 weeks...maybe sooner if all the subs are ready to go. We're getting excited!
