Memories-Camping Trip

Between Treyson being born and Jacob's baseball tournaments, we pretty much exhausted time off  and available funds to do any sort of family vacation this year.  As the end of the summer neared, I felt a panicked feeling to do something memorable as a family....something the kids could write about when they were asked what they did this summer (Looking back now that seems kind of silly because they had many days of summer memories they could have recorded.)

We borrowed my parents trailer and hauled it up the mountain for a couple nights' stay. We had plans to do a longer trip, but Larry (the other pharmacist) was in a really bad accident so we had to cancel that week. Even though it was a short trip, it was so fun to be up there.  It looked and smelled beautiful as the mountain always does. We did a family hike up Burnt Mountain one of the days, and then we met Jason's sisters at Lake Sibley for a picnic and time together on our last evening.
