In an attempt to salvage the day for the kids (it was their Spring/Easter break after all and we had spent most of it working in the yard), we packed up the fixings for s'mores and headed all the way down to the end of the windbreak. Grandpa has built a cool fire pit down there, and with the trees all around it almost feels like you're in the mountains...only you didn't have to drive there, and the house is only a few feet away in case you forgot something and so are Grandma's swings :)
The kids came home with sticky fingers, full tummies and smiles on their face. I am so thankful that they find happiness in such simple activities.
Now for a whole bunch of pictures.
Jacob liked making his marshmallows Canadian style. I guess this is how Sarah (his cousin who is from Canada) makes them...so that makes them "Canadian style" :)
^ My new favorite picture ^
Kinlee opted for a plain chocolate bar over a smore.
