Memories-Halloween

Because Emi's  Regional/State Volleyball usually fell on Halloween, this is the first Halloween in a couple years that the kids have been able to be at their school parties, dress up and trick-or-treat.  And they were so excited about it.

Kinlee, Dallin and Jacob all had their class "parties" the day before. After picking Kinlee up from hers, we went to the Elementary school to watch the parade and help out in the classrooms. Katelyn had a dance for her party.

The day of Halloween was pretty boring for us. The kids milled around the house driving me crazy until it was time to go to the ward Trunk or Treat. The trunk or treat is the way to go for adults, but the kids begged to do some actual door to door trick or treating. We picked a street where they could go to lots of houses in one stop, and thankfully they were satisfied.  Later that evening Katelyn went back out with a couple of her friends.

Halloween is the perfect holiday for my dress-up loving Kinlee girl. She wanted to wear something different than her main costume to her preschool party so she shopped through our costume box and came up with this. I think Katelyn wore it her 3rd grade year.

Treyson wore the duck costume that all my other kids have at this age.  It was a gift from a lady I worked with in the Walmart Shoe department when Katelyn was born.

It's crazy to think that just a few years ago it was like pulling teeth to get Jacob into a costume.  This year he wanted to be something scary and was the first kid to beg me to get ordering.
Kinlee and Dallin decided to do coordinating costumes from the movie Big Hero 6. Dallin was Baymax and Kinlee was Hiro.

Kate was unsure about what to do this year.  She is getting older and she wasn't sure if any of the other kids her age would be dressing up.  She finally decided on being Katniss from the Hunger Games....a pretty cool costume no matter your age.

We also carved pumpkins this year, but these are the only pictures I have...nothing of the finished products.

They looked so cute as they sat on our front porch all lit up on Halloween night (and several nights after that :) )  Hopefully I'll be more on the ball with pictures next year.
