More Raking

All day yesterday (I stopped only to make lunch for the kids and dinner) and most of today (I worked in the house in the morning) I spent outside raking rocks and weeds in the back yard and building rock borders for future flower/shrub beds.  I'm sure my hauling rocks  back and forth from the front yard to the backyard and waddling with them in my arms carrying them to where they needed to be was quite entertaining for our neighbors to watch, but I was a woman on a mission so I tried not to think about it too much :) I am tired, sunburned, and my muscles are sore, but we are making progress. I finally feel like it is starting to take shape.

Even though this picture makes those rocks look like nothing, I promise you they were really heavy...really.

And here are a couple of pictures of my stay at home "helpers" a.k.a.  partners in crime.

It's a good thing they're cute

Because they are always getting into mischief

You can kind of see in the background what we've been raking.

Tomorrow is Dr. Seuss day at school.  That means I have to try and create a Cindy Lou Who hair do for Kate and spray paint Jacob's hair either green or orange or both. They have way more faith in my abilities than I do. Actually, I'm just hoping that I can lift my arms high enough to pull it off after resting my muscles through the night. Wish me luck!
